Welcome @LinerTreff for foreign guests!

  • Hello to our not german speaking guests.

Don´t be shy to write in different languages than German. English is welcome as well. Sometimes it might be a little, let´s say special, to describe the devices and/or problems in German language. So don´t hesitate to post in english. We will be able to react and help you as good as possible. May be that sometime´s there will be funny misunderstandings, depending on these special expressions for mobile homes tools, devices and environment descriptions but at the end of the day we all will do our best. I am sure that here around are a lot of users speaking english fluent and finally good enough to give you a warm welcome in our community.

My english is trained from the scratch during some years in cornwall, so please take into consideration that there is a kind of slang. I am used to speak english during business and if required we try to use a dictionary ;)

Finaly welcome in our best LinerTreff ever!

  • Good moin,

I speak English very well but I kannoch nich so schnell......may I alldestotrotz have conversations on this very international forum?
Would you also bayrisch accept or Ostfriesenplatt!

Whatimmer you speak: be happy and have fun, and there will always be a specialist for Übersetzing every Kauderwelsch.

    What is Kauderwelsch???

Well, there is a very kompetenter politician here in the Bundestag, Volker Kauder....that is auch der Grund why we always have fun immer wenn we listen to him.

Be happy and have fun!

By the way, there is noch einer who uns English beibringt: Günther Öttinger! He was too much even for Kauder, so they aussortierted him to the EU.

  • Hello

It is great to find a liner forum that welcomes me and to be able to use my native English language, I say find but I did not find this forum, I was directed by @michaels

At the moment we a have N+B Flair on a 2005 chassis and have now owned this for more than 6 years and are thinking of a change but it is a difficult decision, the reading one here of Daily vs Truck chassis has been informative.

We have just returned from visiting Dusseldorf Caravan Salon and want a vehicle less than 8.5 metres but still confused as manufacturers seem to be making everything bigger not smaller.

Yes I have changed my username from "funflair" we don't have the Flair anymore.

  • Hallo Martin, you are wellcome! :welcome:

Do you have a Trucklicense over 7.5T ?

  • Welcome Martin, from Holland.

As former Flair driver I understand your request about 8,5 m, but as Hausmann asked, how about your drivers license. Are you licensed to drive to 7,5 T or above?

    Greetings Ferdy

Hello Martin, a very heartly welcome from the "Vordertaunus" near Frankfurt. :welcome: I share you´re impression that the market tends to create bigger and bigger vehicles. Personally we also prefer a "smaller" Liner  Ours is 8,3m and we´re not missing anything.

There is a rather small but nonetheless high class selection of shorter Liners available from the diverse manufacturers. Take it positive, the choice is bit easier if the number of offers is smaller

;) The Flair is indeed a nice van, but the kitchen is smaller than our old Flair so we would see this as a backward step, we are OK with the transverse bed and Morelo make the Palace 80H at 8.2 metres but tell me they make around 3 per year so nothing used and nothing to look at so we have to use our imagination. A nice WoMo from Phoenix might be possible but it needs a discussion to see what they can do.

  • The upgrade is just a matter of taking the test for a truck but it also means other restrictions that we don't want and my wife would not take a test so would not be able to drive.

Indeed Phoenix looks good but we want a A class/integrated, I think that this is still possible at under 8.5 metres.
