Planned maintenance until the end of January

  • Dear LinerTreff-User,

in order to make the LinerTreff fit for the future, irregular maintenance work, some of it at short notice, is scheduled in the near future - this maintenance work will continue until the end of January 2023.

    What will be done?

    1) Adjustments to the rights structure

    2) New registration procedure (CW-ID)

Besides general updates and minor bug fixes, which have occurred / been noticed in the course of time, we have been working on various modernization measures for quite some time, in order to be able to further develop the LinerTreff. In a first step the current authentication procedure will be changed to CW-ID (COMWORKS-ID). This means that the database of the LinerTreff and your access data will be stored separately in the future. With this, we have not only significantly increased security, but also created a possibility for the future to integrate further, interesting functions into the LinerTreff. For you as a user, hardly anything changes, except that the login mask looks different, but when you are logged in, everything remains as usual.

    3) Minor changes to the look

We would like to refresh the look of the LinerTreff and give it a small facelift - at first these will only be small changes, the familiar operation will not be affected. However, further adjustments will follow in the course of 2023.

    4) New administration modules for moderators

Although not accessible to everyone, the moderators also want to be properly equipped and will receive a few new options to better organize and coordinate internally. For this there is a preparation for an internal toolset to keep everything under control behind the scenes :)

So we ask for some indulgence if the LinerTreff will be shut down now and then for this purpose.

As far as possible, we will announce these steps in time, but there may also be short term / spontaneous smaller interruptions.

Until the end of January these steps should be completed as scheduled.

    Best regards

    Josef
