I think you might be right Martin, it may be the US arm, I had a flash come up on my phone just stating "Erwin Hymer Group" with references to German recession so I will look further. Maybe some German members will know?

I have read that Germany is approaching a technical recession and then have read that Hymer are laying off staff due to "an unexpected fall in orders". Is this hurting other manufacturers as Morelo are still quoting 1 year for a new order at CMT. Are new opportunities for deep discounts near?

I regularly read and "sometimes" contribute on this great forum. My suggestion is you use the Chrome browser, it has auto translation so complete threads are translated on the fly. However the nuances of the German language are lost so some things are difficult to understand but for the most part I get the theme of the debate and the answers. It has helped me greatly in my Morelo purchase, and many members on here are very competent communicators in English so I have been able to get in depth answers and even purchase my LinerTreff number plates! I learnt German at school but that was over 50 years ago and I failed the exam so today only odd vocabulary is available to me!

    Hallo,

It is the same on my existing 2015 Flair 920LF, with 450amp AGM.

Die Truck-Version für 149,99 €? Lohnt sich das wirklich?

A vote for CoPilot Truck. I have had it to for 5 years, love the road profiling which I have now fine tuned for an accurate ETA. Now easy to load personal POI's (on Android anyway perhaps not so on Apple) have all CamperContact, Italian Aires, Spanish Aires, plus my own Google maps converted from KML. We have 2 licences so my wife runs a copy on her tablet and provides support at difficult junctions. I think the ability to run on different hardware is a major plus. I have a redundant 10 inch Sony on a Brodit mount, so do not even need my reading glasses. Sure it makes the odd inexplicable error but I would defy anyone who says they have the perfect navigator. Easily worth the money. I think the camper version although ostensibly the same, does not route the same, according to a friend who has both and has now retired the Camper version.

As I understand it you are saying that the bowl does not fill with water to flush. There is a solenoid which opens the valve to let the water through in a timed measure dependant on the selected type of flush. Perhaps this has failed in some way? Sorry in English. Check the German manual.

In the UK these devices are called A frames. They are not illegal in the UK, our licencing authority deems that a car being towed by one of these devices becomes a trailer. Accordingly it must comply to UK trailer law which means that any trailer over 750kg must have braking, furthermore any trailer braking system must work. So as the car has a braking system this must work when it is being towed 4 wheels down. There are a number of electronic devices that achieve this.

However in Europe there are many restrictions not least of which is the Spanish position in law that unless something is declared legal, it is not legal, so legislation has to exist for the towing of a car 4 wheels down. The only legislation that allows this is for a registered vehicle recovery vehicles. Many UK owners have been fined and told to uncouple their car in Spain.

So I would be interested in how German citizens using this device would overcome the restriction. I also understand that France has an issue with it too. I have one of these http://www.smart-tow.com/aframe.htm

In the UK the facebook Concorde group owner proposed a change of name to Concorde and Morelo. This was rejected by the majority of members. I think people make a choice to buy say Concorde, Phoenix, Morelo or NiBi or others and then feel obligated to justify their choice. When in reality many of the systems and OEM kit are the same but the manufacturers follow a more specific route in implementation. In reality the differences are not that great. However because I have a NiBi Flair and a Morelo Palace Liner on order it does not mean that I cannot gain valuable knowledge from the Phoenix forum or the Concorde forum, because I do.
Since finding Linertreff and as a result other German forums I have been able to explore real life experiences with Kissmann refrigerators notably used by Phoenix for example enabling me to ask Morelo to make a proposal for its addition to my order. Explore Lithium installations on a variety of Liners and much more. On individual manufacture forums you get some blind disciples but mostly a collection of slightly different experiences which add to ones knowledge base. So because one is busier than another does not signify mortality, just that maybe the members only post when they have something worthy to say or ask, rather than perhaps some of the pointless drivel one can see on some forums, not Linertreff I might say!

Some UK providers are building databases of the VPN providers server IP's and blocking connectivity through them. So getting a static IP from your home broadband provider and creating your own VPN can help evade the detection. We have now been away in Spain for 2 months and I have not used my Sat TV or Sat internet, never lifted the Oyster!

Thank you, that is interesting. I don't plan to change the batteries or the setup that Morelo install with the exception of just the inverter charger to a Victron Quatro to give me 2 AC out and power assist in .5 amp increments by the Victron remote, unless Buttner now have this which I doubt. Reasoning being that I can get Morelo to install all the loom and the engine charging configuration for the Lithium. The reason for going the Victron retro route and not Mastervolt is simply that I have had 2 boats (one with 1800 amp Lifeline AGM and 2 multi-pluse's in parallel installed by me) and 2 RV with Victron, I am very familiar with the VE Config software, and they have a 5 year warranty. I liked your video on your Lithium upgrade by the way and if this was not a new vehicle install with all the warranty concerns I could be very tempted!
