    Hi Ralf,

At least your scooter did not do any serious damage or join you in the cockpit! We are now in France on our way home from the dealer with our new Liner. I will post some stuff when I get home and have had some time to unwind from a salesman who believed I just arrived on the last banana boat and had no mathematical skills or professional paperwork management! My question however.
Was it you who posted the instruction on the Buttner remote control of the inverter? I have read somewhere on here about how to get it to stay on permanent with some button press sequence but I cannot find the post now, was it you? If so can you direct me to it please?

    Kind regards and safe travels,

Monaco are good coaches, indeed there several makes I could buy tomorrow but........
Resale is tricky in Europe for Yankees it's a very specific market but I sold mine in 3 months and lost about 20% over 3 years. As they say you buy your profit on resale upfront which is what you are saying. I would suggest you buy in Germany, there is a different mindset, 12 % is the starting point, and dealers prefer 5 new customers and make 5k each, whereas UK dealers are happy with one customer and hold out for 25k. I have got a good deal on my Flair PX, still lost some money, but difficult to quantify as I bought it with £-€ 1.30, and my conversion of the cash balance for the Morelo has averaged 1.154.
I have not really been following the second hand market, but my dealer tells me that the German market is on fire, he would wouldn't he! That said there are several new Morelos on mobile.de that have been there since the end of last year. Maybe someone with some well founded opinions will be along.

    Wingover,
We had a Country Coach Allure 470 for 3 years and toured quite a lot around Europe from our UK base. With 8 wheels and a lifting tag and close on 12mt it was a constant test for our nomadic lifestyle. So we sold it and set the limit of 9 mts but ended up with 9.2 NiBi Flair. We have had 4 years of stress free touring and the only downside for us with a European was the missing 4 slide outs we had on the Allure. So as I write this we are 30 clicks from our dealer here in Germany and go tomorrow to take ownership finally of our new Morelo Palace Liner, on a Mercedes truck chassis, only 9.1 metres long but with a slide out lounge and kitchen.
The extra space is a real godsend in the kitchen area although no increase in worktop.
Many people without slide out experience believe it will be an issue but in reality (a) you can live easily with the slide in, and (b) the extension is similar to the space needed to access locker doors etc. But you know this already.
Morelo and perhaps Vario are the only manufacturers that offer a slide out on a short 9 metre Liner.
Your 9 metre bench point will be a good choice in my opinion and of course with 45ft Yankee experience handling will be a doddle.
Get a truck based navigator, I use Sygic Truck and CoPilot Truck apps on a tablet which is more flexible as may be the case for you.
I have met some Kiwis who bought a MH in Europe, leave it here in storage and fly over for 6 month tours.
So good luck in your research and welcome. By the way I am one of several UK residents on this forum which we have found a great source of info.

Anyone with a current Atego chassis. Is the Tacho in KM/h only or KM/h with MPH on the inner ring? It seems my latest delay is that they did not order the Tacho with MPH and I cannot get it registered in the UK without MPH on the dial. So we wait I suspect whilst the dealer and Morelo argue over who is paying for the error!

Hat jemand schon einmal das Camper Navigationssystem für IOS von Sygic Truck getestet?

    Link: https://www.sygic.com/de

Ich habe es mir soeben auf mein iPad geladen und mich interessiert ob jemand schon Erfahrungen damit hat?

Yes and currently testing against CoPilot Truck. The UI is superior to CoPilot if a little clunky. The display does not need reading glasses on a 10 inch tablet. I run Android. The routing currently seems more logical although I was a great fan of CoPilot until they deleted the road profiling in the latest update. Many users of CoPilot in the UK deserted it for this reason. The great plus is that it has an addon for Chrome and Firefox which sends from Google maps to Sygic Truck. Also Campercontact has a send to Sygic button.

You won‘t have any trouble with your Atego. They do not modify the front axle.

Nevertheless you should search for a company who can check wheel and axle alignment on Atego chassis. Sometimes they are only „slightly“
misaligned. You will not notice it, but if you find somebody who can recheck and aligns correctly you will save on derv and tyres.

In the Wörth factory there is one turkish worker who always puts the steering wheels out of center. :00000003:

Thanks Elbert, allegedly my Liner went to a Mercedes dealer yesterday for a tracking check. So hopefully all will be good. I was reading in this thread that @berndson had a tracking issue and became concerned as I knew that M had a MB servicing centre checking mine and of course I read the @Lars issue and others.

Thanks Thomas, my reply above explains my concern.

    Hi Elbert,

I had seen the coated Alcoa's but they were never as "blingy" as I could achieve on my un-coated ones, but with 8 wheels on the RV, 6 of which were alloys (22 inch lifting tag) it would take my wife and I 3 days to get them looking the part. NiBi would not replace my Goldschmidts, and as they have been fantastic with all the other issues I did not press it as I was being very fussy.
On the Morelo some news, I had an email this week saying it would be delivered to the dealers next Friday and that they want me to go to the factory next week to check it over before it leaves for the dealer. Gluck are taking my Flair back in PX (it is left hand drive) so we are on the Chunnel this Sunday evening with it for a leisurely drive down to Schlusselfeld for Wednesday or Thursday, but they have yet to say when they want me there. I am sure they think I am Captain Kirk with a transporter room that allows me to do 1500km in 1 nano second!
After that we will have a drive down part of the Romantic road to Sulzemoos arriving at Gluck when they say they are ready to handover. So I need some good weather 25th onwards please!

    Kind regards
    Michael

After having US Alcoa alloys on my Yankee RV with heavy maintenance, and now the Goldschmidt's on my Flair which are degrading after 4 years I would not have RV alloys again. They are a problem to maintain, their life expectancy is short, they very often need spacers and carrying a spare is a big issue for that reason. So I have selected steel wheels with stainless covers this time. Also you can get Alcoa wheels for 33% of the factory cost, not that I would have them.

CoPilot Truck or Sygic Truck on an Android Tablet with a Brodit mount. Review the Google maps Sygic Truck Route Sender "add on" for Chrome and Firefox too. Probably making Sygic Truck the most versatile app out there for big Liners.

The only one missing is the bajonet one. That you need in the Netherlands and in Spain at older filling stations.

New built filling stations in Spain now have Euroadapter.

So you are ready to fill in Europe with the original fitted filling point which has the inside thread of 22 mm. (8actually 21,8).

Thanks, I was a bit unsure. I have refillable bottles on my Flair, but a tank on the new Morelo. I think I have the bayonet one as well but will have a good check. It was the thread on LPG in Spain that suddenly made me think.

    Michael

Can anyone with gas tank on their Morelo display a picture of the filler connection please? I want to get the right adaptors for Europe.
